19-May-2005 -- We were on our way to visit with the Vigué people and decided to visit 11N 4W. We had breakfast in Bobo-Dioulasso and left soon afterwards. The national road map showed the point a short distance off the road we were traveling. Sure enough, as we were headed SE on R20, the GPS swung around until the point was a few kilometers perpendicular to our road, and, just as that happened, we noticed a bush path going in the direction of the point. This bush path was just wide enough for our vehicle to drive down.
We drove to within 800 meters of the point and stopped the truck near a well a few meters off the bush path. A short hike later and we were taking pictures of a farming area, which had not yet been worked this year. In a few months, this area will totally change as the rains come and the crops come up.
Returning to the truck, we retraced our path to the main road and continued our trip to Karankasso-Vigué.
