31-Aug-2005 -- I was on holiday nearby, so I thought I'd cycle the nine or so miles to this, my first confluence.
I approached from Maxent in the south on the D63, About a mile out of Maxent, I turned right on to the C13, then a couple of hundred yards later took a left on to a dirt track. This eventually took me through Le Chenais, then left on to another dirt track to the CP.
Along the way, I came across lunch at N47 59.904 W2 00.497.
I stepped over the electric fence and found the CP at the bottom corner of the field. The CP was right on top of an overgrown pile of building rubble, not far from the lake. I took a bunch of pictures of the GPS, then made to go home. I'm pretty sure I was in the right spot, as I had to go back and take all the pictures again, this time in focus.
While there, a bunch of cows came up, wondering why I was mooching around, so I made a hasty exit.
I cycled back up the D63 and visited a nearby lake at N48 00.728 W2 00.609. All in all an easy and pleasant introduction to the Confluence Project.
