27-Oct-2005 -- Cheryl and I were on our way from home in the Washington, DC area to a square dance weekend near Cincinnati, Ohio. Our route to and along I-70 afforded an opportunity to visit four confluences along 40 degrees latitude. Out third visit was 40N 82W. Continuing west on I-70 across Ohio, we diverted a few miles north in Zanesville to this confluence.

We stopped in front of 201 Skyline Drive. The confluence lies beneath power lines running between this house and the house next door whose address curiously is 3949 (go figure). Two men were installing new siding on the house to the north of the confluence (photo #2). We chatted briefly with them and explained our mission. They neither cared nor, I’m sure, understood as I did the GPS dance to get all zeros on my GPSr (photo #5). We quickly took the requisite photos (photos #1, #3, and #4 to the west, east and south respectively) and were on our way.
