30-Nov-2005 -- After visiting Confluence 28N 22E, a drive due south in the flat open gravel plains, saw us arriving at the next confluence point at 27N 22E on the morning of 30 November.
An aluminum identification tag was installed at the confluence point and a set of photos taken. In this area a large agricultural project was undertaken in the past. This involved in growing wheat in large crop circles, which although still evident, most of the project seems abandoned now. About 50 m south of the confluence point, one of these crop circles was located with remnants of vegetation and irrigation pipework still left scattered in the sand.
On completion of the identification of the confluence point, the scouting party made up of Mike Bonnici, Etienne Vassallo, and Muṣṭafā FexFex as our driver returned to base camp.
