We left West End at about one o'clock and headed west along the gravel road R375 towards Tosca. There were signs of recent thunderstorm activity and there were large areas of muddy road that had our front ends wiggling. It was quite a slow crawl to Vergelegen, a crafty left and a right towards Tosca. From Tosca there was a neat tar road leading all the way to Vryburg. Our Confluence was about 15 km south of Tosca and the tar road passed within 2.24 km of the spot, but the bush was very thick. Lucky for us, there was a farm gate in the open position, to the left, so we just bombed through and a sand road took us to within 1.2 km.
It was getting dark, but there was enough time to walk through the bush to the spot. Unfortunately, there were several black and yellow spiders with their webs at about head height, so we had to take it easy. The spot was a rather non-descript part of the bush, no sheeps head diamond, nothing, darn it. The sun was going down rather fast, so we quickly moved back to the bikes and set off southeast towards Vryburg to find a place to sleep.
