09-Apr-2006 -- While visiting my wife's sister and family in Katy, TX, we decided to go for a drive down to the ocean. On the way there we passed through Bay City, where I had previously noticed a confluence point which didn't seem to be too hard to reach.
We drove state HWY 99 and 59 SW, then took 60 to Bay City, where my Garmin Quest easily found the narrow exit to 'R M Cole'. Following these roads for a couple of miles, we ended up a in a nice new development area, sitting alongside the Colorado river.
I spoke to some of the people living in the houses nearby, including the owner of the home which contains the actual confluence point on its back lawn. He very graceously allowed me onto his property to do the proper zero dance, and he also brought a piece of rebar to mark the point.
After showing the project web page to the owner, we drove on towards the Gulf of Mexico!
Coordinator's Note: The landowner has requested to not visit this confluence anymore. No future visits to this confluence will be posted.
