01-Apr-2006 -- Волгин Дмитрий & Михаил Андреев Точку N54 E44 мы запланировали посетить совместно с N54 E45 в День Дурака (День Смеха) то есть 1 апреля.

Накануне вечером, в 21.16 мы стартуем из Москвы, с Казанского вокзала, на фирменном поезде "Мордовия", идущем до Саранска. Расчет маршрута строился на том, что мы должны успеть посетить точку и приехать в Рузаевку до отхода электрички на Пензу. Тогда мы успеем посетить обе запланированные точки.

В 06.11 прибываем на станцию Ковылкино - ближайший к точке районный центр. Находим автовокзал, нужный автобус, через полчаса выходим у нужного поворота, и идем к точке. Первый километр по дороге, очищенной от снега, затем несколько километров по колеям полевой дороги, по воде и талому снегу, в поисках пути к точке. К сожалению, пока мы искали подход к N54 E44, время ушло, а мы так и не подошли к точке ближе, чем на километр. Пытаться посетить точку, значит упустить время и не успеть на N54 E45, что не входило в наши планы. Поэтому было принято решение остановиться, не дойдя 1 километр до точки. 01-Apr-2006 -- Volgin Dmitry & Michael Andreev we have planned to visit Point N54 E44 together with N54 E45 on April Fool's Day (Day of Laughter), that is on April 1st.

On the evening before, at 21:16 (9:16PM) we shall start from Moscow, from the Kazan station, by the commercial train "Mordovia" going up to Saransk. Calculation of the route was under construction that we should have time to visit a point and to arrive to Ruzaevka by the departure of an electric train to Penza. Then we shall have time to visit both planned points.

At 06:11 we arrive at the station Kovylkino - the regional center nearest to the point. We find a road service station, the necessary bus, in half an hour we get off at the necessary turn, and we go to the point. The first kilometer on a road cleared of snow, then some kilometers on a field road, on water and thawed snow, in search of a way to the point. Unfortunately, while we searched for an approach to N54 E44, time has passed, and we didn't even approach the point more closely, than a kilometer. To try to visit the point, means to miss time and to not be in time for N54 E45, which was not included into our plans. Therefore the decision to stop was accepted, not having reached 1 kilometer up to the point.
