29-May-2006 -- We had planned to visit this point for a month and finally we were all free to go to this point. We searched the point in Google Earth and found out that it wouldn't be a very hard task, as it is close to a road.
It took almost two hours to get to Qazvīn, which is almost 30 km north of the point. There, we got a friend's GPS and when we found out how close we were to the point and that it was still early, about 11 o'clock in the morning, we got some food for lunch and went south toward the point on the Qazvīn-Bū'īn Zahrā road.
As we had guessed from Google Earth, there is a side road near the point. That was interesting is, when we stopped by a road office just 5 km north of that side road and asked them, they said there is no way there! Finally, we reached the side road and went west. Here the asphalt ended. The land in this region is flat and covered by wheat fields.
We went along the side road for almost 5 km and then we were as close as 40 metres, as our GPS showed us. The only way we went on foot was that 40 metres.
