07-Jul-2006 -- We have decided to visit the confluence point 24N 42E, that was on Friday, 7 July 2006 after we found that this confluence point was not visited before. This confluence point and the next confluence point 25N 42E are located in the Najd highlands.

We started our journey from al-Ša`rā' and continued towards `Afīf 170 km away from our starting point, then we continued to al-Khuḍāra 70 km away from `Afīf. The confluence point is 60 km to the NW of al-Khuḍāra, but we were forced to drive off road.

The confluence point 24N 42E is located near al-`Ašāy town (about 10 km to the East). We reached there after sunset, so we decided to sleep till the morning. On Saturday, 8 July 2006 we took accurate pictures of the confluence point, it was a sunny day, the temperature was about 33 degrees Celsius and the point was located in flat land.
