29-Jul-2006 -- While attending the Annual Vietnam Vets M/C Summer Twister in Birnamwood, WI., a group of us rode motorcycles about 37 miles due west to visit 45N 90W. The survey marker and county sign is actually about .2 miles due west of the exact confluence. Of our group, I was the only one crazy enough to make the trek through an 8 foot tall corn field to stand on the famed spot. Once there, I snapped a photo of my Garmin 12 GPS to authenticate my visit. Upon returning to the roadside marker, we took a group photo and celebrated with a shot of Jack Daniels. It was worth the ride!
Coordinator's Note: This visit is classified incomplete because it does not meet the photo requirements of the project.
