10-Sep-2006 – We started out from Donetsk by car to approach the point as close as possible. And we would have succeeded unless the regrettable breakdown occurred. We hit our car against a stone on a dirt track and got the engine crank case completely damaged. We were lucky to find ourselves almost at the spot. We continued the journey on foot. The terrain was smooth and sandy. There were small piny woods and pastures. And the point itself was located almost half way along the sunflower field. We got to the point after fighting our way through high sunflowers. The way back to the car was much easier. We waited till the wrecker came and got home late at night.

That is all that can be said about the adventure that Oleksandr Laktionov and his children Ivan and Larisa took part in. We had two GPS receivers, Navi GPS and BlueLogger GPS connected to a pocket PC.
