27-Oct-2006 -- This is my 10th CP visit. Directions: Mašhad, Kalāt-e Nāderī, Qal`eh Zū, Bāġ Chešmeh-ye Bālā (the point is 16 km after Qal`eh Zū or 2 km before Bolān).
This weekend I decided to visit this point with two friends, Saeid Saeidi Rad and Mohammad Reza Mohammadi Nia. We departed from Mašhad at 6:30 am and reached Kalāt-e Nāderī at 10 am. We asked about road conditions to Qal`eh Zū and Bolān. We found that the road between Qal`eh Zū and Bolān is very bad conditioned; so we hired a Landrover with driver for 400,000 Rials (43 US$/34 €).
At Bāġ Chešmeh-ye Bālā, 500 meters far from the CP, we stoped the car and walked toward the point. It was located on the slope of a hill. Bāġ Chešmeh is not a village; it is a place used by shepherds. The area was poor in plants due to paucity of precipitations this year; but it should be a beautiful landscape in spring.
The road between Qal`eh Zū and Bolān is VERY-VERY bad conditioned; I do not recommend this way unless there is a good equipped 4WD and experienced driver. There is another way (Qareh Tīkān to Bolān). It is somewhat farther, but it might be better.
