20-Nov-2006 -- Yet another Nevada desert confluence. This one is slightly more interesting than many of the others, because the terrain is slightly undulating, and because there are some Joshua trees nearby.
To reach the confluence, I took a gravel road westward from highway 95 (north of Beatty). This road passes through the north-eastern corner of Death Valley National Park (within which the confluence point lies), and runs 1 mile south of the confluence point, leading to a 2 mile round-trip hike through desert scrub (and a little cactus; long pants are recommended).
