22-Nov-2006 -- I think we have set a record today... it took us only 1 hour and half to visit this Confluence successfully, although the idea of actually visiting this Confluence had been around for quite a while.
Kent Smith is the one who caught our attention to this Confluence, well, he caught our attention to the whole Project, which I didn't know of before I met Kent. I knew that there was one unsuccessful visit to the site due to the fence around the area that has the Confluence.
There is something I should explain about this Confluence: this Confluence is located in the centre of the Burqān oilfield - 4 km east of Wāra Hill. We were not able to take a photo of the general area due to security reasons, but we managed to snap a few photos of the reading and ourselves. As the Confluence is surrounded by intense oilfield facilities, taking photos of the four directions is extremely risky. Although we believe this Project is one of the most important things in our lives, yet it was not worth getting jailed for.
But WE MADE IT!
I need to mention that we were wishing to have our friends with us on this visit and they are Werner Neuhoff, Ramesh Nair, and Kent Smith.
Coordinator's Note: Although we understand the difficulties connected with taking photos at this Confluence, this visit can nevertheless only become registered as "incomplete", because it does not comply with the DCP Photo Requirements. See also note at the end of this page.
