08-Sep-2007 -- Travelling from Inverell NSW to Sydney I stopped over at Arrowee House (a BnB) just west of Gloucester. I had previously created a POI database in my TomTom with all Australian Degree Confluence points in it and often when doing a country journey I will set my destination and then ask the satnav to plot a course via a DC point if there are any close by. This way I am not specifically travelling out of my way to visit one of these points and it adds a bit of variety to an otherwise tedious and uneventful journey. Blah Blah Blah.
After bidding my hosts goodbye I headed off to find this point. My TomTom took me to a road that then got me within about 100m of this point. I then made my way across a soggy field and through a small gully while dodging cow pats. I easily located my target point and took a few photos. Unlike the first visitor I wasn't confronted by the landowner and was out of there in less than 10 minutes.
Coordinator's Note: Apparently, John's photos did not successfully upload to this site and his original pics are no longer available, hence the visit is deemed to be "incomplete".
