07-Nov-2007 -- I was returning to Concord, NC from a trip to Louisiana where I recorded geocache finds in the last state (for me) east of the Rockies. With some extra time on my hands it occurred to me that I had not found a confluence in a number of years, so lets see what's along I-85. Bingo! So I plotted it on my DeLorme Street Atlas on the laptop and headed on in. When I arrived close to the confluence I was on the wrong street, but I could see the confluence. I drove back to the main road and took the correct side street to the residence. At the home, I knocked on the door and told the folks that I was seeking the confluence and was told that it would be OK to go into the back yard. My GPS put me at the confluence, just off of the back yard deck. Mission accomplished.
