18-Dec-2007 -- I am on a 3 weeks' vacation at Melkboshstrand. A couple of days ago I was visiting my friend Jose at Saldanha, over the past years I was several times fishing or sailing with him in the bay and at those times we got as close as 400 meters to the confluence 33S 18E. We could not go on shore because there is the Saldanha iron ore export terminal.
This time I asked Jose before we started sailing that we go to the export terminal with the car and possibly get to this Confluence. Jose works for the harbor authority and we had no problem to access the Iron Ore Terminal and drove virtually to the Confluence. Unfortunately, we could not finish taking all the required pictures because the security discovered us und was on our neck because we did not have the necessary PPE (personal productive equipment) and it is strictly prohibited to take any pictures from the inside of the Terminal. To save us from getting into any trouble we wished them a Merry Christmas and left.
