26-Apr-2008 -- We reached the Confluence after a visit to Victoria Falls from Windhoek, Namibia crossing Botswana by a 4x4 vehicle. The main gravel road lead us to a couple of km from the Confluence, then we found a driveable path approaching to a bit less than a km. We walked the rest across a savannah with 2 to 3 m high bushes.
The vegetation was dense and rich of thorns, but not impenetrable. The presence of a village in the nearby assured us that there was no danger of close encounters with predators.
