27-Feb-2001 -- This confluence is located on the Arizona - Utah border, in a wash. (Stream-bed
that is usually dry) You can drive to within 300 feet of this location if you have a 4-wheel
drive vehicle. As you can see from the pictures, clouds were starting to move in on the
day of our visit. If we had been one day later we would not have been able to visit this
site because of the river of water flowing down the wash.
There is a water source "Mormon Springs" about 1.7 miles to the southeast
(downstream). It was used by early travelers on the wagon trail. The area is now used for
range cattle.
