  41°N 77°W (visit #4)

#1: I recorded zero near the left front of the black VW.

(visited by Jack Frickey)

14-Feb-2009 -- I originally visited this confluence on September 3, 2006, but never reported it because my camera malfunctioned and none of the pictures were of decent quality to submit. I didn’t expect it would be two and a half years before I had occasion to visit it again, but here it is. This time I was on a geodashing marathon weekend that took me close by, so I took advantage of the opportunity to revisit 41N 77W.

This confluence is practically in someone’s house so I naturally went to the door to explain my presence. A note on the front door said to go around the house and use the back door where my knock was greeted by a pleasant woman and her daughter. She recognized my request immediately and cheerfully granted me permission to take my pictures. My GPS dance did not take long to get all zeros near the left front wheel of the black VW in photo #1". As I was taking additional photos of the unnamed road coming up the hill across a small creek from Black Run Road to the south (photo #2), the side yard up the hill to the north (photo #3) and the house across the street to the west (photo #4), the woman’s husband drove up. He too recognized my mission and we chatted for a short time. I reminded him of my earlier visit when he arrived home on his motorcycle while I was taking pictures. It is interesting to note that the house has been painted a different color (taupe?) since my earlier visit when it was white.
