25-Apr-2009 -- We started from Dubayy and drove for about 3 hours on E11 to reach the nearest access point to 24N 54E. We drove the next 4 km on a branch road before we got off the tarmac towards our target. Next 7 km on a dirt track along a gas pipeline and we took the plunge over the dry salt pans. Luckily, the surface was dry and hard enough to take the load of the Nissan Patrol and Toyota Landcruiser and we could drive right up to the confluence point.

This point is located in the middle of salt pans and there's no development around except for the gas pipeline passing at a distance. We clicked some pictures for the record and left the place for our next target, i.e. the confluence point 24N 53E.
