10-May-2009 -- From Interstate 70, east of Green River, I took Old Highway 50 to a gravel/dirt road at [38.94611,-110.02270], and then onto a narrow rough dirt road at [38.96930,-109.98148]. This passed 1.7 miles southeast of the confluence point. From there, I took my mountain bike and rode the rest of the way (although I had to get off several times to carry my bike across a series of deep washes).

This is a remote desert area, with no shade. Be very careful if you attempt this on a hot day.
