01-Jun-2009 -- "If the sky falls, we shall catch larks."
I had read previous two reports before my visit, I thought this would be hard work for me I have ever.
But....my fear was groundless.
It was before rainy season in Japan, so vegetation had not been dense yet.
My starting point was west exit of the tunnel of route 309.
It was just 9:00. The target was about 600 meters WSW away.
I could find the small footpath along to the river to the target's destination. The rope, ladder, plank bridge were provided, but some of them were rot off. This means the path was not use for long time. The path was clear and easy to follow.
After 20 minutes, I could reach the nearest point to the target. It was 50 meters from the target and 50 meters hight lower than the target.
I had to climbed up a steep slope covered with close bushes.
After 20 minutes fight, I reached the place almost the target, where another footpath crossing. The target was only 5 meters down from new footpath.
Soon I got zero values on my GPS. I took the pictures requested by the project.
Finishing my work, I walked down to the east following the second path, and it was merged with the first path after 100 meters walk.
Finally I was back my starting point at 10:21.
If you can find the correct path, it will take only 25 minutes to the target.
