12-Jul-2009 – It was the last confluence nearest to Ulyanovsk city at that moment. One means “the nearest” as available within two days off of driving there and back. We decided to visit it because it's located near the highway M32 and it seemed quite easy to access. And it turned out to be true.

All our journey succeed as it has been planned. We set off Ulyanovsk on Saturday at 2 pm. This time our motorcycle advantageously differed from that we used 3–4 years ago for our first confluence visits. Having rode with average speed of 120–140 kmph (almost as twice as faster) we got in Samara city in 2–3 hours. As soon as we exited Samara we have a little lost the way in searching of highway M32. Further on we found it and rode onto this road to the south of Samara region. At 8 pm we reached Bol’shye Glushitcy town with last drops of gasoline. The motorcycle approached the gasoline station already with an empty tank. Sometimes it happened… In the same village we bought some food for a supper. We spent the night near the village and highway on the river bank of Bol'shoy Irgiz. The river's water was appeared slow and boggy. However there was a lot of fish in the river, and there are no any mosquitoes ashore. It was a quiet night. It was silent and windless, only some animal (an otter or a muskrat) floated in water all night long in a pursuit of fish. Having woken up in eight o'clock in the morning we set off further to the confluence. After Bol’shaya Chernigovka village we have turned to Vostochniy settlement, then onto a field dirt road to Gusikha village. Confluence was appeared in the field, sowed with rye, in 700 metres from the field road. It was very easy to reach it. We made all photos and near noon we were ready to go back. There was only 30–40 km to Russia–Kazakhstan state border. We didn't expect to find anything interesting there and didn't rode there. Back way was quick enough, roads were good. On the border between Samara and Ulyanovsk regions we halted for forty minutes. We were extremely tired and even fell into a doze directly in a forest-belt. Last kilometres of our way run on bumpy asphalt of our region and did not deliver much pleasure. Riding on a motorcycle (even on Japanese one) onto our roads is very difficult deal either for the driver or for the passenger!

So, all short distance confluences are opened. But the Russia is great and the game must go on!
