#1: A view from the confluence point (according to my GPS receiver)

(visited by Ross Finlayson)

31-Mar-2000 -- Yorke Peninsula is the large, boot-shaped peninsula to the west of Adelaide. This confluence lies near the top of the boot's 'toes', near Gleeson's Landing. From the town of Warooka, I headed due-west on the paved road towards Corny Point, but then - instead of turning northwest towards Corny Point - continued westwards on the gravel road towards Gleeson's Landing. Much of this road appears to have been laid out to follow latitude 35S, which makes the confluence easy to reach. It lies just off this road, about 4km before you reach Gleeson's Landing. There's even an official survey marker beside the road (on the south side) - see photo 2. The survey marker doesn't show the latitude/longitude, but it almost certainly marks the confluence, as my GPS at this point showed just 50 metres to go.
