#1: View towards East

(visited by Ajay Sikri, Sangeeta Sikri, Aayush Sikri and Aastha Sikri)

22-Sep-2009 -- We covered this confluence point while returning from our earlier confluence visit to 23N 57E back to Dubayy. Since we were close to sunset, Joshi family offered to take the lead of the convoy of fellow campers straight to Dubayy, while we took a detour to this confluence point.

The confluence point is easily accessible by Highway 21 from where a narrow blacktop road takes you very close to the target. We could take our car right up to the Ground Zero on the gravel plains that enabled us to click the picture with the GPS on the car dashboard itself.

While the immediate vicinity of the confluence point has not changed much, a lot of truck movement is seen in the surrounding areas as is typically seen around quarry sites. It appears that some major development/industrial plans are taking shape a little ahead of the confluence point.

We clicked the customary pictures and turned back on our way to Dubayy via Mazyad border post and the green city of al-`Ayn.
