05-Jun-2010 -- I left my tent at the camping site in Bonneville-sur-Iton and ten minutes later I parked my car in 350 metres distance at the famous gate. I took the small path left of the gate and later walked on a path through rape fields.
Luckily the farmer drove with his tractor nearly exactly to the Confluence Point so I did not have to damage the plants to get a good GPS reading. The point itself is surrounded by rape fields. To the south (where I parked my car) you can see week end or holiday houses.
20 minutes after my arrival I was on the road again to visit a very special Confluence Point: 49°N-0° on the Greenwich Meridian.
