We spent four weeks in New Zealand and found out that this was really not enough time to see this beautiful country. Since we were on a fixed schedule there was not much leeway for any big detours but we didn’t want to go back home without having visited at least one confluence. Fortunately there were a few fairly easy ones along our route.
This was the third and last confluence visit during our vacation and they don’t get much easier than this one! 500 meters off SH83 and 110 meters from a paved road (which runs exactly north-south) in an open, flat and easily accessible pasture, my 20th confluence was by far the easiest. Thus there is not much to report: We parked the car halfway between the equator and the South Pole and walked east along the 45th parallel to ground zero. That was it!
We decided that this would not be our last visit to New Zealand. But next time we will spend more time in each place and maybe visit some of the more challenging confluences.
