16-Mar-2011 -- This is my first intentional visit to a degree confluence. My family and I were driving through the night from Pennsylvania to Florida. I had my Garmin Oregon hooked up and was watching the latitude and longitude numbers to keep myself awake. N 34 W 080 kept on getting closer and closer so I decided to check it out. We took a short detour off I-95 and followed some quiet secondary roads to the closest available parking.

The confluence is located only a couple of hundred feet away from a dirt road in the middle of a corn? and bean? field. There was nothing actively growing in the field which made it possible for me to reach what my GPSr told me was the exact confluence. The rain was picking up but I was still able to snap a few photos before jogging back my car and continuing our road trip.
