03-Apr-2011 -- I am currently undertaking a road trip around the United States, aiming to visit each of the 48 contiguous states (plus DC). (You can follow my trip on my blog.) I chose to visit Kansas by passing through its southeastern corner (en route to Joplin, in neighboring Missouri). I noticed this easy-looking confluence point nearby, so, of course, I had to visit it.

From highway 166, near Chetopa, I took SW 90th Street south to the point where it turns left to become SW Treece Road. This corner, which is just feet from the Kansas-Oklahoma state line, is also just 0.27 miles from the confluence point.

The confluence point lies in the middle of an empty, grassy field (that had, however, been plowed sometime in the past). If you start walking from the road corner - as I did - you can avoid having to cross a barbed-wire fence by keeping to the northern side of each such fence that you see.
