25-May-2011 -- A trip to my friend in Norway gave me the possibility to visit several Confluence Points. The eighth one of this journey was the CP 56°N 9°E, located about 1.5 kilometres south of Arnborg, Denmark.
Coming from the North I had to leave the motorway 18 at the junction 13 to Arnborg. In Arnborg I had to go left because the GPS leads me south. Now I followed the Greenvej for 1.5 kilometres. It’s a well paved small road with two or three farms on its right side. I parked the car in a hedge, 100 m before the area with the small confluence-forest begins. To the CP it was now still 191 m beeline. Only a few minutes of walking along the road, over a small field (picture 07) and through a forest I saw the CP in a distance of about 30 metres in front of me, because the conifers were cut! From the pictures of former visitors I knew that the CP is situated in a small but dense forest. But at luck I just had to follow the cut stripe and – reached the Confluence Point 56°N 9°E exactly! It was getting dark already when I had done the pictures. The GPS accuracy was three metres. While discovering the area nearby I found timber of the cut confluence-trees (picture 08).
This confluence point was very easy to visit. The next and last confluence point I wanted to visit on this trip was the CP 52°N 10°E, near Evensen, Germany.
