09-Sep-2011 -- I flew in from Oslo, Norway to SFO yesterday, then drove I80 to Vacaville where I found a hotel.
This morning I woke up extremely early, as I knew I would, but I tried to stay in bed and rest until the 06:00 breakfast started.
Afterwards I simply got back on I80, then took I505 north to I5 which I followed all the way to Arbuckle. At this point my gps didn't have all the dirt roads around the various fields, but I still ended up driving along two sides of the field with the confluence.
It turned out that I was very lucky with the timing of my trip; the field had been cut just one or two days ago, so now I could safely walk directly to the all-zero spot, with no danger of field damage,
The most prominent details around the point were two very large stacks of hay bundles, obviously the results of the cutting that had just taken place.
Afterwards I drove on to my next point, 39°N 121°W
