28-Dec-2012 -- Once before I have been on a ship which seemed like it would cross over this point close to Willemstad on Curaçao.

This time I initially didn't bother to check my GPS or take any photos until we had passed the area, but then one of the passengers suffered a medical emergency so the ship turned around and went back to the harbor where an ambulance was waiting.

While leaving for the second time I did grab my camera and GPS and started checking the distance to the confluence.

Unfortunately, after losing 3 hours on this extra return to Willemstad the Captain obviously decided to take the shortest possible route, so this time we barely passed within 10 km of the point, i.e. even further away than on the previous trip.

At least the view back towards Willemsburg was much nicer after dark!
