15-Aug-2013 -- I was in Walker Minnesota for the summer meeting of the Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors and after the morning education session, went after 47°N 95°W. This degree confluence was about 35 km southwesterly from Walker.
I approached this confluence by tuning onto Greenway Drive from Hubbard County Highway 4. This intersection was marked by a sign for Evergreen Lodge Family Resort. After about 100m east of the intersection, a single track road lead north through tall pines planted in straight rows. I took that track and at about 400m it turned easterly and headed directly toward the DC. Three large piles of cut and split fire wood stood in a small clearing east of the DC and a large garage or shed was about 10m south of the southerly pile.
A white-tail doe (female deer) was grazing near the northerly wood-pile. She was used to people, because she just strolled way, pausing now and then to watch me. I got out of my car and took the required photos.
