(visited by Gordon Spence)

10-Feb-2014 -- I am passing by this area on the way home from an appointment in deepest rural Lincolnshire. Not been here for a while, so a revisit is required.

I am often asked why I revisit confluence points on a regular basis, I always reply that things change. When I came here on 4th April '08 with Wojciech Czombik we saw this old abandoned farm, not anymore it is all gone and the site has been cleared.

In the West photo you can see some buildings, I called in to get permission and found out that the field doesn't belong to them. Oh well, let's go and get this done.

The very first time I came here with youngest daughter Dani on the shortest day of the year 13 years ago the weather was wild and the mud was thick. That was my ninth visit, this one is visit number 218

The UK has been very wet this winter with a lot of flooding, I expected the ground to be similar to that of thirteen years ago. amazingly enough it was firm underfoot.

The usual photographs having been taken I started walking back to the car to head home, when I found evidence of what the locals do for fun around here - shotgun cartridges.
