09-May-2015 -- While driving along I-70 from Lenexa, KS to Aspen, CO, I noticed that we would pass very close to this confluence. We took our rental car north on 857 out of Chapman - as opposed to coming in from the South.
This was a mistake. 2800 Ave, which is a dirt road, crosses a stream, and if the rental car hadn't had 4WD, we would have gotten stuck in the mud.
We got to Sage Road, and parked just down the road from the confluence. I walked back to the nearest point on the road, and started walking out into the field. However, when I did that, I saw that the field was planted with (something that looked very much like) wheat, and I decided that I didn't wan to tramp down someone's crop, just to get exactly on the confluence.
I retreated to the road, and took pictures and captured the location using my phone.
Afterwards, we continued south, crossing over the freeway and into Chapman, rather than attempting to re-cross the stream bed which had almost been our undoing.
