29-Feb-2016 -- On our way north to Kiruna we planned to stop by some confluences. With little snow this year, so far chances were good that we could approach by car close to the starting point.
When arriving at the hilly forest landscape, broken up by harvested areas and summer farms, we decided to use our snow shoes to spot the last 900 m of distance. First we followed a self-made ski track, it seemed the nordic skier had the same goal a few days ago. But after 2/3 of the distance, we made a left turn from the track for the final approach. Fortunately we did not have to climb some rocks for the last few meters but ended up in an open part of the forest. Reception was very good today and it took only a few steps to arrive exactly.
What a great start of the day!
