29-Jul-2016 -- I managed to visit a row of three Degree Confluence Points during a day’s drive from Riga, Latvia, to KlaipÄ—da, Lithuania. This first point was very easy - on the side of a ditch between two wheat fields, just 120 metres from a dirt road. I was therefore surprised to see that it had been visited only once before - 15 years ago.
Before visiting this point, I stopped at Lithuania’s famed “Hill of Crosses”. I then made a detour eastward to visit this point. By driving along country roads, I was able to get 120 m from the point, which lies within a ditch that separates two wheat fields. Fortunately, I was able to get ‘all zeros’ without having to descend to the bottom of the ditch.
