07-Jun-2018 -- I attended the 2018 ESA annual meeting in Copenhagen and at the end of the meeting I was invited at a specific interscience and research meeting in Bergen. I decided to allow me one more day of vacation in Bergen anddecided to visit 60N 6E.
We rented a car and after a very nice 90 minutes road and ferry trip we reached Rosendal.
According to previous descriptions of the CP, we decided to hike to the point by the forest road which connects almost perfectly with the road on the 60th north parallel at approximately 2000 meters NW of the village. The forest road was close to the vehicle but a small gate for hikers offers free entrance on the trail. From there, one can reach the point after a 20–30 minutes up hill walk through the forest and the logging parcels.
The point is actually in a dense forested zone; I had much difficulties in trying to zero the point because the satellite reception was very bad in the forest. I ultimately decided to walk out of the forest on open ground were I shot the picture at 60 meters NE of the actual point. The view from there is wonderful and 60N 6E enters without a doubt my personnal most beautiful top 3 CP of my collection (along with 45°N 6°E and 40°N 24°E).
