25-May-2019 -- We visited this point while staying on vacation in Lake George. The point is easy to visit as it is very close to a paved road and it only takes a few minutes to stop by and zero in the point. The point is actually in a small pond some 75 meters north of the road.

The pond, once a private property of the DES ROCHES family (french name !), has been donated to a public trust for land and nature conservation some 14 years ago. Consequently the small foot path framing the pond is now overgrown by dense bushes and it is uncomfortable to reach the closest point to the CP on the pond edge. We shot our pictures from the south bank of the pond 75 – 77 meters from the actual point.

The Galway nature preserve makes a very nice stroll and is worth a visit. On that same day we also visited the Saratoga NHS located 29 km east of the CP. Don’t miss it if you are visiting the area !
