18-Oct-2019 -- From Manaus we took the road to Manacapuru, crossing the impressing bridge over the Rio Negro. After 80 km we turned right in direction to the small town Novo Airão, the door to the national Park "Anavilhanas". After about 65 km we leave the asphaltet road and followed a stony road for about 7 km. Further now we passed an old iron gate and followed the old road by foot for about 400 meters. Then we had to enter in the dense rainforest. The point is now only 300 meters away but it was hard to penetrate the jungle. As it was pretty late, and at 18:00 it is completely dark in the jungle, we were happy to reach 3S61W at 17:50. There is obviously nothing around, only dense forest. On the way back we had dark black without any light for 15 minutes, only enlighted a bit by my smartphone ledlight.
