24-Jan-2007 -- Only took me 14 years to finally post this visit!
Back in 2007, during the large outbreak of Rift Valley fever, we were headed up to the refugee camps around Dadaab near the Somali border. Turned out that there was a Confluence Point “just off” the road, so we took a break to find it. After we did some serious bundu bashing, we finally found the spot. The area was basic thick dry thorn scrub in all directions. In fact, one big thorn took out a tire along the way.
Although I seriously doubt we were the first to ever pass this way, we were the first to document finding it. Seems no one has been there since either.
