19-Jun-2021 -- A couple of months ago, Rafa mentioned that there was a project called „Confluence“. He found out that there was a spot that had not been registered yet. After just a few minutes it was obviously a „thumbs up“ matter. We all agreed and decided to go there shortly.
The 18th of June at 18:30 local time, we left our home base at the Real Club Náutico de Palma heading for Santa Ponsa, where we picked up Laura, who had to work late that day. Around midnight we left the Santa Ponsa Bay , setting course to pass the Lighthouse of „Cap LLebeig“ on the island of Dragonera. From now on, no obstacles, just water for 33 nautical miles to arrive to the wanted coordinates. The night was warm, cloudy and dark. At about 07:00 local time it was done, we reached the goal. Just some more fine adjustments in order to get as close as possible to N040º00´00´´ E002º00´00´´. According to our instruments and the Datum of the WGS 84 chart we got as close as 1,61m.
At this point, we dropped a Bottle with a message in it, asking the finder to tell us where he found the bottle, as well as en E-mail address for the answer. We also placed a caricature of ourselves and our beloved boat „Bulla“ in the bottle.
We are a steadfast, unwavering and sturdy sailing crew that feels home among wind and water and that looks forward to keep on catching confluences in the middle of the Sea.
