05-Aug-2023 -- Wir fahren an der Westküste auf der Straße 19 bis Mabou. Dort biegen wir zur Kirche „Mother Of Sorrows Pioneer Shrine“ ab. Die hat gerade geöffnet und ist so beeindruckend, dass wir nicht richtig aufpassen und deshalb auf einer verwegenen Schotterpiste landen. Auf dieser geht es über den Abzweig bei Glencoe Mills und den Friedhof der Pioniere bei Churchview nach Whycocomagh an der Straße 105.

Am Abzweig Abbereen halten wir und orientieren uns. Wir fahren auf der Straße 105 bis zum Ende der Leitplanke, steigen steil durch den dichten Bewuchs bis an das Wasser hinab. Im günstigsten Moment zeigte das GPS 120 m zum CP an.

Zurück am Auto wenden wir und nehmen die Straßenfähre in Little Narrows.

05-Aug-2023 -- We drive along the west coast on road 19 to Mabou. There we turn off to the church "Mother Of Sorrows Pioneer Shrine". It has just opened and is so impressive that we are not really paying attention and therefore end up on a daring gravel road. On this road we pass the junction at Glencoe Mills and the pioneer cemetery at Churchview to Whycocomagh on road 105.

At the Aberdeen turnoff we stop to orientate ourselves. We continue on road 105 to the end of the guardrail, descend steeply through the dense growth to the water's edge. At the best moment the GPS showed 120 m to the CP.

Back at the car we turn around and take the road ferry in Little Narrows.
