18-Oct-2023 -- A mini-break to Dartmouth in Devon is the reason for this easy to achieve Confluence point. Myself, my long suffering wife and trusty confluence companion Dawn and our kids Sophie and Natasha had set off from Oakham just after 5am to make the 4.5 hour journey down to Dartmouth and had stopped just once on the way for breakfast near Cheltenham. The weather was dreadful with heavy rain all day and high winds too so none of us were particularly enthused with the prospect of getting out of the car but I wasn't going to be defeated by this one I'd pre-planned and could see was easily achievable. We parked up in a pull-in just off the A378 junction sign posted 'North Curry'. From here it was just a 220m walk to the spot through a field entrance. A high hedge kept our mini mission from view from the nearby farmhouse. Within 5 minutes we have 'bagged' 51N 003W and was back in the car drying out and steaming up the windows! Mission accomplished!
