04-Aug-2024 -- The confluence point is about 15 kilometers NNW of Riga. It was Sunday and the traffic was light and the GPS took us to a national park with tall pines. oaks and other trees. We parked a few hundred meters away on a not too muddy road and walked through an easy terrain. The confluence was on a small slope and to our surprise we found a big steel marker there. The most difficult thing was to get a good photo of the GPS registration due to reflections on the Garmin screen.

On the way back to the car we came across a fire tower with a warning that no more than five persons could climb up at the time and no alcohol and narcotics use would be tolerated. From the top we had a grand view of the surroundings and Riga in the distance.
