(visited by Hilton Taylor)

03-Aug-2025 -- Visit to Confluence of 30 South 137 East Team of one - Hilton Taylor Date 3 August 2025 Weather: Clear, cold and windy. Having established contact with - and gained permission from - the Manager of Stuart Creek Station, I set out from Roxby Downs. I travelled 60kms north from Roxby Downs on the Borefields Road to the Canegrass Dam area where a property service track turns off to the west. Signage at the entrance to the track makes it very clear permission is required to enter the property. Using the Hema - Australia Topo 1:250000 map, in the Memory Maps application, I followed station tracks in a westerly and then northwestly direction for about 15 kms to the Donald Dam area - where the lat/long confluence is about 100 metres off the track. Using the Memory Maps application I located the confluence and observed a small pile of stones less than one metre from the spot my GPS indicated as the location. I’m guessing these stones were placed there by the previous visitors in 2006. The drive to this site was spectacular - through a combination of red dune country and gibber country.
