09-Oct-2025 -- During our autumn vacation on the Peloponnese peninsula, I had the opportunity to visit two confluence points. This is the report of the second, CP 38°N 22°E.
On the road to Kalabryta, I had to stop for a few minutes because of a herd of sheep. About 4 kilometers west of Kalabryta, I reached the steep descent to the village of Koúteli direction south. After about 2.2 kilometers, I reached the entrance to the village. It is a small village with straight streets. After passing through the village, the path climbs relatively steeply uphill along an unpaved road heading south. The access road was riddled with potholes. At an altitude of about 1,000 meters, I then drove for about 3 kilometers to the vicinity of the confluence point. In the area around the confluence point, there are only a few houses and many abandoned buildings. I parked the car at the side of the road about 190 meters from the confluence point. From here, I walked steeply uphill. Across a sparsely vegetated area with thorny vegetation, I entered a deciduous forest. Within the forest, it was only about 40 meters to the exact location of the confluence point 38°N 22°E. It lies about 50 meters above the dirt road. On the way back, I stopped briefly at an abandoned church. The area looked like a completely deserted village.
After this visit, which took place ten year after the last one(!), we returned to the main road via Koúteli.
