This was my second CP on a trip to see my in-laws in Atlanta. It was about an hour drive NW from Atlanta with stops at Kennesaw State University to see an art museum, The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History, the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park and the Etowah Indian Mounds State Historic Site. Although the area was having unseasonably freezing weather, the afternoon was warmer, clear and pleasant with no wind. The sun was rapidly setting and the point was found at 6:15 p.m.

Although the CP was relatively close to Braswell Road, it was somewhat difficult for three reasons. 1)There was a briar thicket with some standing water to get through beside the road and then railroad tracks to cross. 2)Once I found the point, I just couldn’t get to all zeros. It was either my confusion, the trees, or a slow-reacting Garmin GPS that was getting me close but not exact. 3)And my wife and in-laws kept calling me from the car because we were late for dinner reservations back in Atlanta.

The area around the point is boringly uniform with small trees all around. There is a continuous rise in elevation from the road to the point.
