Den Tag verbrachten wir, da es sehr warm war, im Murray-Upper-Nationalpark am Wasser des Murry River. Auf unserem Heimweg zur Unterkunft machten wir dann noch einen schönen Strandspaziergang in Cardwell. Ein herrlicher Ausblick auf Hinchinbrook Island. Am Ende dieses Urlaubstages besuchten wir diesen Zusammenfluß. Wir waren 2014 schon einmal in Tully, nur hat uns damals die Technik verlassen, konnten keine Fotos mit nach Hause nehmen. Also machte wir uns noch einmal vor dem Dunkelwerden auf zu dem Goldenen Gummistiefel. Schon von weitem sahen wir die große Qualmwolke der Zuckerfabrik.

Since it was very warm, we spent the day at Murray Upper National Park by the Murray River. On our way back to our lodging, we took a lovely walk along the beach in Cardwell.

We had already been to Tully once before in 2014, but back then our camera broke down, so we couldn’t take any photos home with us. So, before it got dark, we set off once again for the Golden Rubber Boot. Even from a distance, we could see the huge plume of smoke rising from the sugar mill.
